Many of the citrus groves along the St. John’s River, in the heart of Florida’s oldest citrus growing region, disappeared long ago, but in Pierson, Florida, nestled just southeast of giant Lake George, a few carefully tended groves continue to produce fruit renowned for its sweetness and flavor.
